Berlin, Germany

At the kickoff to summer, we drove to the capital city of Berlin. It’s a gritty, fast-paced town that gives a good look at the former divided nation. The Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate did not disappoint. And Pergamon Museum, which houses excavated buildings from the ancient city of Pergamon gave us a good visual of how large the gates of Babylon might have been.
