Almost from the very first day we set up house in the cottage, Lilly wanted to know when she could spend the night at Lindsey’s apartment.
Just 90 minutes up the highway from Pinehurst is UNC-Chapel Hill, home of the TarHeels and our oldest daughter Lindsey who is a Carolina Senior. We made arrangements with Lindsey to have Lilly spend one night at college (with the approval of Lindsey’s two roommates) over the MLK Day weekend. The following is my interview with Lilly as she told me exactly what they did…

“I’m really good at climbing walls. Here I am at Lindsey’s apartment.”
Well, first we went to, um, the apartment. No, no…We went to the Quad…the campus. Lots of trees and grass and we took Mallory, Peetey (Nathan’s dog), Nathan, Me and Lindsey.

“The quad at Chapel Hill…Lindsey says they sometimes play frisbee here.”
Me and Peetey chased squirrels, Lindsey, Nathan and Mallory just walked around. Then, we went over and got
(B)ski’s click here to read about this great joint but we took Peetey back to Nathan’s house first. They don’t allow dogs at the restaurant. I had a hamski sandwich and it was good. Then we went over to Nathan’s apartment and we watched the football game. I got to play with the dogs while we were there. Then, we went over to Sweet Frog with Russell and Nathan and Lindsey and me. At Sweet Frogs I had a chocolate and toasted marshmallow frozen yogurt treat with little oreos, little m&ms and sour gummy worms. It was delicious. It cost $6.75 for me and Lindsey to get our dessert.
(If you haven’t been to Sweet Frogs, Lilly highly recommends it. She thought paying 6 bucks for frozen yogurt was a good deal. Of course, hers weighed a ton with all the toppings. Elisa, Lindsey’s roommate, came and sat on the bed between us and she was on her iPhone while I read my book and Lindsey was on the computer. We went to sleep at 10:30pm.

“I love all dogs. Here I am at the Old Well with Nathan’s dog Peetey.”

“I like how Lindsey does her hair all crazy. So I asked her to do a crazy bun in my hair too.”

“You can tell we’re sisters because we both have buns.”
I woke up sometime this morning; I don’t know what time. We had eggs to eat and pancakes in the shape of Mickey Mouse that Mallory made. It tasted good! I airbrushed crazy designs at the apartment and then I got out makeup and me and Lindsey played with the eyeliner and did Mallory’s makeup. I think she looked crazy.

“I’m really good at doing makeup. Mallory and Lindsey let me do theirs.”

“Check out Lindsey’s cool makeup. I’m pretty good.”
I was sad to leave when Dad and Will came to pick me up. William makes me mad–a lot! And on purpose. All the time. I gave Lindsey a hug when I left. I want to go back to college and see her again soon.
